I wanted to wait until they were 3, but as we know....

the parent doesn't always get to decide!!! Jason and Lily learned how to get in and out of their cribs today... nap time was over when Tom went up after a 'thud' and found Lily out and walked in as Jason was hopping out of his bed. They spent a good 20 mins playing 'get in and out of the crib' before we called it quits and dismantled the beds. They are now up there going to bed in their big kid beds for the first time. PLEASE God let the sleep. It sounds pretty low key up there right now. They have routinely been staying up pretty late chatting anyway so we'll see what happens. We might have to check on them tonight just to see where they end up sleeping.

Let's try some video again....

That is a very cute video! Wouldn't it be great if we got to decide when they made all of the "big" changes? Oh well! The fun has begun now!!! : )

  3. That's some good exercise. Maybe we all need beds we have to "climb" into. Looks pretty fun too!

  5. That is so funny! You have a couple of little monkeys on your hands. I love how they get in - they just make it over the crib side and fall into bed. Now lets see some pics of the big kid beds! Are they still sharing a room?

  6. Oh, both of my boys were climbers (well, they still are). Life gets pretty exciting with climbers! ;)

  7. Good luck with the big kid bed transition! For us, bedtime went smoother than naptime. Is all the furniture in the room secured to the walls? My boys like to take the mattress off the bed - so I used a big piece of elastic to strap it to the frame of the bed. Hope to see some pictures of them sleeping all over :)
