Did you watch the video?? Starting at about 59 seconds where they drop the lead arm down to the side. When you rotate get your shoulders out of the water as you rotate. Now focus on using your core (lats/obliques) to really create the rotation. Use that as you 'pull' not your shoulder / arm.
Did you ever do that one armed with no stroke rotation drill? I wanna try it out.
